For centuries, the Sapiens have dominated the environment and used up vast quantities of natural resources. Now, we are facing a “ghastly future” of mass extinction, unthinkable death tolls, and horrifying conflicts. The installation shows ongoing research of imaginary utopia and dystopia rooted in sifting the relationship between technology, humans, and nature. The installation,” Cursor to Origin,” demonstrates the hypothesis of solution in climate crisis situations and invites the audience to re-imagine how humans can interact in this ecological and sociological system in the technological era. The process of transforming materials revitalizes the value of objects that were once forgotten and abandoned. In the work, the components adapt the commensal relationship, depending on each other to toil along in the space.
